A Complete Guide
to Enjoying a
Reno Aces Game

Tips, Special Events, Etc.

Hello everyone! If you’re new here, my name is Sarah Sperber, and I’m a REALTOR in the Northern Nevada market, specifically focusing on the Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding areas.

Today, I want to talk about one of the many great activities you can enjoy in Reno – attending a Reno Aces game. Whether you’re a baseball fanatic or just looking for a fun outing, the Reno Aces offer something for everyone.

Introduction to the Reno Aces

The Reno Aces are our very own minor league baseball team, serving as the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since their inaugural season in 2009, the Aces have been thrilling fans with exciting games and memorable moments. The team originally started as the Tucson Sidewinders before moving to Reno and rebranding, giving our city its professional baseball team.

Greater Nevada Field:
Home of the Reno Aces

The Aces play their home games at Greater Nevada Field, located in the heart of downtown Reno. This beautiful stadium can seat over 9,000 fans and offers stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Opened in 2009, it has become a hub for community events and entertainment year-round, not just baseball.

One of the most popular events at the stadium is the postgame fireworks show on select weekends. The sky above Greater Nevada Field lights up with spectacular fireworks, creating a perfect ending to a night at the ballpark. These fireworks can be seen from various spots downtown, adding to the vibrant Reno nightlife.

Affordable Fun for Everyone

A day at the ballpark is more affordable than you might think. General admission tickets start at just $10, with premium seating options like the Dugout Reserved and Infield Reserved available at higher prices. For families, the Aces offer fantastic value packages to ensure everyone can enjoy the game without breaking the bank.

Delicious Ballpark Food

No ballpark experience is complete without great food, and Greater Nevada Field doesn’t disappoint. From classic hot dogs and nachos to gourmet options like the Reno Aces burger and specialty fries, there’s something to satisfy every craving. A hot dog costs around $5, while a craft beer is about $8. There are also plenty of local vendors offering unique treats, including smoothies for those seeking healthier options.

Special and Seasonal Events

The Reno Aces host a variety of special and seasonal events that make each game unique. Themed nights, such as Star Wars Night, allow fans to dress up as their favorite characters and enjoy themed entertainment. Families can look forward to Kids Run the Bases after Sunday games, where children can live out their big league dreams by running the bases just like their favorite players.

Additionally, the Aces frequently host fan giveaways, offering everything from bobbleheads to t-shirts. These giveaways provide fans with the chance to take home a unique piece of Aces memorabilia.

Notable Players

Over the years, the Reno Aces have seen incredible talent. One notable player is Kevin Cron, who set a franchise record with 39 home runs in the 2019 season, earning the Joe Bowman Home Run Award for the most home runs in minor league baseball. Another standout is Jake Lamb, who played for the Aces before making a name for himself as an All-Star with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017. These players have not only contributed significantly to the Aces but have also left a lasting legacy in the world of baseball.
